Sacramento is the capital of California

Sacramento

For those who know and love Sacramento, we all understand how quickly and easily we can commute from one part of the city to any of the nearby cities and counties. What we enjoy about Sacramento, and want to share with others, is how vibrant our city is. We all know it is the capital city of California, but most people don’t realize how the confluence of the Sacramento River and the American River adds a wonderful river ambience to our region. It is the cultural and economic hub of the Sacramento metropolitan region, which includes seven counties with a 2010 population of nearly 2.5 million people. It is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the state (the other three being greater LA, the San Francisco Bay area and the San Diego metropolitan area) and the  27th largest in the United States. In 2002 it named “America’s Most Diverse City” by the Harvard University Civil Rights Project conducted for Time magazine.

Carmichael
